Meet Frosty: A Tiny Goat With a Big Spirit

Jack Frost ("Frosty") is our newest little arrival at Serendipity Sanctuary — a tiny Nigerian Dwarf goat who has already stolen our hearts.

He was born just a few days ago on a farm not far from the sanctuary, during one of the coldest nights of the year. His mom rejected him, and by morning he was nearly frozen, with frostbite on his ears. The farm family worked quickly to resuscitate him and gave him the vital colostrum he needed to survive. Normally, he would have stayed in their home and been fed every few hours, but that wasn’t possible this time - and that’s how Frosty came to Serendipity Sanctuary just hours after he was born.

Now, Frosty is Mimi’s baby. He lives in our house, right next to the fireplace, where we can be sure he stays cozy and well-fed. The first day was worrisome; he was so weak and unfamiliar with the bottle. But he’s thriving already — healthy, spunky, and impossibly active. Keeping him still for a photo is nearly impossible because he’s always on the move!

Frosty’s story is a reminder of how fragile life can be, and how a little care, warmth, and attention can make all the difference. We’re so grateful to the farm family for ensuring he got the care he needed in those first critical hours, and we’re thrilled to give him a safe, loving home for life.

Your kindness helps animals like Frosty receive the care they need.
